Opportunities for local businesses are to be discussed fully at a Town Hall meeting on Thus 6thFebruary. .

NCC Environment Fund

Funds available to green community groups. Details to be shared to cllrs.

8.3

Northumbria Police

The council have been invited for a village walkaround. Details to be confirmed.

8.4

NCC / Parishioner

A parishioner has contacted NCC to request an additional dog waste bin. NCC will not fund purchase and installation so asked BPC to do so. Expected cost £500. Not currently within parish budget to do so.

NCC

Several requests for additional street lighting have been submitted by the Parish. A location near the Doctors may be able to be improved, a cost of £900 would need covered by BPC. To revisit discussion in next financial year.

Northumberland Estates

Rent at Toilet block to increase by approx. one third to £62 pa, backdated from Sept 2023. Clerk to request reduction considering cost of recent refurbishment.

Creative Health Group

A request came via Cllr Tilley for an allotment for the group. Cllr Wilkinson to follow up.

BT Digital Voice

Cllr Knudsen has successfully petitioned for a local meeting about the removal of copper phone lines Scheduled for 4th April 2025 Town Hall. Emergency Services to be invited to attend.

Any urgent business

11.1

Concern raised about professional dog walkers bringing many dogs to one area and filling waste bins (usually emptied fortnightly) very quickly.

Karbon Mart Site update- pipes now under the roadway successfully. Other progress hampered by wet ground.  

11.3

Complaints received about vehicles damaging Westlands Green and Cairns Road on land owned by Karbon.

Contact given for queries surrounding Elections which may take place in March.
